Welcome to TLC Preschool!
My name is Tracy L Calderón and I'm so grateful for the chance to teach and care for young children in my home. My purpose is to provide preschool-aged children, 18 months up to 5 years old, an opportunity to develop cognitively, physically, socially, and artistically. I offer the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) approved, literature-based curriculum The Itty-Bitty Bookworm, elementary-level Spanish vocabulary/grammar, basic American Sign Language, and extensive other age-appropriate learning fun. I have over 10 years combined child care and preschool teaching experience. I'm also the mother to two beautiful little boys, Drew and Elijah. My hope is that my boys will benefit just as much as the other children I teach in our preschool. I strive to instill Christian values within my own family, and do the same with the children I care for. Currently, I am enrolled in Texas State University with a major in Psychology, attending classes at Round Rock Higher Education Center in the evenings and online. I am also pursuing my Advanced Signing Time Instructor's certification.
TLC Preschool promotes a fun, nurturing, and respectful environment with a specific focus on Kindergarten readiness, including language development, social and emotional development, and creative self-expression. While our daily schedule is busy and structured, there is always plenty of free-play time, outdoor fun, and special events included.
We are located off Hwy 79 (aka Palm Valley) and Sunrise, right behind Stony Point High School.
